1st Place - Who R U Wearing?

The concept behind WRUW is fantastic. In short, to be someone you need to buy someone. Flick through the product gallery and find the face of a random person/celebrity. What happens then, is you tweet/IG a photo of you wearing the tee to the brand. Then in return the brand puts your face on a tee, and people are able to buy your face.
Holly Hagan is currently the top selling tee.
I chose the Chris Rix tee, as I liked that he was a complete random, with a cheeky face and some decent twitter banter. The fact they are just plain white vests and t-shirts with a face on is regardless, the fact that this could become a global phenomenon in the apparel world, is the real win here. When the brand started following me on twitter it took me 2 weeks to even check them out, but when i did the excitement i got for what this company are trying to achieve filled me with sheer joy. I salute Who R U Wearing and the creative brains behind this idea. That is why this month WRUW have undoubtedly taken the top spot.

2nd Place -  Tekkers

I was first introduced to this company through word of mouth from a close friend Daniel not your usual fashion guru, however he does have some great taste in tees and always tweets me his newest finds (ask him what's fresh.)
Tekkers, for those of you living in the dark ages, is a football term for technique. Tekkers, as a brand, has a great line of affordable, and ridiculously comfortable clothing. I own every piece of clothing and accessory on the site. Celebs and sportsmen have already picked up the brand, take a look at who's wearing Tekkers here. The products are current, great quality and a hit with lads and wenches all over the UK.

The founder Andy Ansah says..
"My former career as a professional footballer and current role as a consultant / choreographer means that I get to work alongside many leading athletes and celebrities. The one thing they all have in common (besides possessing Unbelievable Tekkers) is that they all care about what they wear. This inspired me and the Tekkers team to transfer the attitude of Unbelievable Tekkers into a range of lifestyle clothing for people who love quality fabrics and special attention to comfort, fit and feel."
Tekkers is currently running some great offers, free shoulderbag when you spend £50,or a free snapback with every hoody.

3rd Place - HYPE
This brand just screams out at you. Great florals, tie-dye and quirky designs. This is the brand you should be rocking if you want to be seen. I first was made aware of this brand when I saw a really individually dressed gent walking on the beach. On the front of his vivid t-shirt bore the words HYPE. Instantly intrigued I googled the company on my phone and was pleased with what I found. It’s so nice to see some original tee designs out there, as ‘GEEK’ and “YOLO” are a dyer state of affairs. This company has breathed life back into the apparel culture.
HYPE Says…

“HYPE. have quickly grown from a young, aspiring U.K. brand, into a widely supported label. With their bold prints, extravagant patterns and eye-catching designs. HYPE. are a force to be reckoned with.”

If you are feeling frisky try a tee lucky dip for just £13.99

4th Place - Thunder Apparel
Established in 2011, Thunder apparel have been making waves in the UK apparel scene. I came across this indie gem last week when I received their 'Wayfarer sunglasses' in the post from a friend. The brand is completely unisex, having females model all of the clothing. With fresh logos and designs in earthy maroons, dark blues and bright mustard's, there is a tee or crew for everyone. Its a small spring collection, but as Vesture Apparel once said "Its quality, not quantity."
This brand seems to excel where some others un-necessarily fail -The accessories. Thunder's 'Wayfarer' sunnies, with bamboo arms, should definitely be on every one's summer wish list - you'll have to keep an eye out for more in stock as they're so good they've SOLD OUT. The wooden iPhone case is also a must purchase.
I'm looking forward to seeing where this brand heads in the future.

5th Place - S-Star Apparel
sstaruk.com

Now this company is not so much in this review for the clothing they produce (currently only 2 snapbacks in the range) but for what the brand represents. We are all aware the UK is full of young talent, in so many forms. This brand uses its scope to broadcast such talents through their social media. Both snapbacks are classic designs with the statement S-Star logo and good quality. The niche of this brand is that you are wearing your support for the UK music scene. I hope to see a tee or a crew with the S-Star logo on in the near future and think that there is huge potential for this company in the future.

Here concludes my top 5 brands for the month. If you are a clothing brand and would like to submit your brand for review or you wish to send me samples please tweet/follow me @ApparelR
